I work at every layer I design for, from the architecture decision down to the server it runs on.

- Solution architect at a state-owned bank, on an Agile Release Train
- Head of IT at a military health unit doing 1,000+ appointments a day
- Three products in production that I built and operate
I am a full-stack engineer and solution architect. At BRB, a state-owned Brazilian bank I joined through the federal public examination process, I work on the architecture modernisation team and as the solution architect for an Agile Release Train, designing solutions and integrations together with the teams that build them, and writing code, Terraform and configuration alongside that work.
Outside the bank I design, build and operate three products of my own. Estudador, the one documented in most detail on this site, runs an AI generation pipeline behind a paid subscription, with its own cost accounting, advertising layer and administrative tooling. I am responsible for all of it, down to the server it runs on.
I hold a technologist degree in systems analysis and development and a postgraduate specialisation in software engineering, and I completed the SAFe 6 Practitioner certification in 2024. I also spent six semesters in the computer science programme at the University of Brasília before leaving it, because I had taken over the IT section of an Air Force clinic and could not carry both. I chose the work I was already doing.
My route into this was not a direct one. I was writing software for clients as a teenager, then trained and practised as a dentist, and never stopped building systems while I did. In 2017 I joined the Brazilian Air Force as a dentist and spent the five years that followed running the clinic's IT section: leading its telematics team, writing its IT strategic plan, and maintaining every system a unit seeing more than a thousand appointments a day depended on.
That route is why I am drawn to problems where understanding the domain counts as much as writing the code. When COVID suspended that clinic for three months, the person who determined the order in which patients should return and the person who wrote the ranking were the same person.
WHERE I’VE WORKED
Solution Architect
2022 — PRESENTBRB — Banco de Brasília — a state-owned Brazilian bank
I work in the bank's architecture modernisation team, and as the solution architect on an Agile Release Train covering a set of applications.
Day to day that means designing solutions and integrations with the teams that will build them, and keeping the decisions consistent across those teams. I write code, Terraform and configuration alongside the design work — I was also responsible for the OpenShift platform on the infrastructure side, and I currently work on platform engineering projects running on GCP and GKE.
I joined through Brazil's competitive public examination process.
Head of IT
2017 — 2022Brazilian Air Force dental clinic, Brasília — military health service, 1,000+ appointments a day
I joined as a dentist and, because of my software background, spent the five years that followed running the IT section.
I led the telematics team and was responsible for the unit's systems, its IT plan, and the development and support of everything the clinic ran on. SININ and the Sistema de Retomada were both built in this period.
Owner, endodontist
2014 — 2019Gold Odontologia — own dental clinic
I ran the clinic and saw patients, specialising in endodontics, while continuing to build software.
Full-stack developer
2001 — PRESENTIndependent — own products and clients
Estudador, QRDash and REP Calc are mine: I designed them, wrote them, deployed them and I operate them. Before those there were years of small custom systems for small businesses, alongside everything else on this page.
